We all need a day to ourselves.
Every now and then, why don't we take a day off from whatever that's holding us back? Just drop everything and spend a day on our own. I dare you, to spend one day completely alone in a place with no familiar faces. Just take some time to look at yourself, understand every bit of what makes you, you and figure out what you want from life. Who knows? You might be a completely refreshed person from when you woke up or you might have a new perspective of life, an epiphany! :3
So, just spend an afternoon on things you normally wouldn't buy for yourself. Treat yourself to an expensive meal at that restaurant you've always wanted to try, get that sinful chocolate or pastry you've been secretly craving for. Just spend a day spoiling and pampering yourself. Because if you're a happy bunny, you'd be able to bring so much more joy to the people around. Just stop relying on others to put a smile on your face and do it on your own. There's nothing pathetic in being alone once in a while. It just shows that you're strong enough to not care what society thinks. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and enjoy the ride, enjoy that liberating sense of freedom of being able to do whatever you want for a day. A day of peace and serenity, of not having to force conversations between people you don't really like but who you want to impress anyway, just stop doing things for people who don't matter and do something for your own.
In the end, we'll realise that life's too short to spend on impressing others, so why bother in the first place? Just kick back and enjoy the sun shining on your face, stuff yourself with food and treat yourself to a movie - solo style. Just remember that being happy is all that matters in the end. And what better place to start than working on your own personal happiness right? I gurantee that being self fulfilled will probably be one of life's greatest feeling ever, hands down.
